Stevens Enters COMP Cams Topless 100 Weekend

Tyler Stevens embarked on the opening round of the 30th annual COMP Cams Topless 100 presented by Crop Production Services on Friday night at Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Ark.).

The event, which was co-sanctioned between the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) and Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) drew a field of 48 competitors to the 3/8-mile oval.

After qualifying seventh fastest in his group, a third-place finish in his heat race sent Tyler to the $5,000-to-win, 30-lap feature, where he started 14th. Slipping back in the event, he crossed the finish line in the 19th position.

On Saturday evening the $50,000-to-win finale took center stage. Via his performance on Friday night, Stevens lined up second on the grid for a B-Main, where he finished second to lock into the 19th-starting spot for the feature.

Early in the feature Tyler was collected in a melee, which resulted in him restarting 28th. He rebounded to as high as the 13th position before he hit and a hole and broke a right front shock, forcing him to retire from the event.. He was credited with a 24th-place finish.
