CASEY FINDLEY -CHAMPION OF THE 1ST ANNUAL ARKANSAS FACTORY STOCK SHOOTOUT!

Bryant, Arkansas driver, Casey Findley won the 1st Annual Arkansas Factory Stock Shootout at Batesville Motor Speedway on Saturday night to claim the trophy and the $5000 first place prize money. Forty-seven of the best of the best in Factory Stock Drivers showed up to battle it out for 50-laps to win the first annual event for the factory stock division.
Champion Casey Findley started off the weekend on Friday night with a qualifying time of 17.252 to put him starting in the 6th position of his heat race of which he finished in first place. Other heat race winners were Drake Traylor, Brandon Rowland, Nick Lawrence, Randy Weaver, and Kevin Atkinson.
Kevin Atkinson (Vilonia, AR) was Quick Time for the event with a time of 16.815 and took home the Splash Car Wash $500 Fast Time Bonus. Casey Findley came in second quick for an additional $300 and Randy Weaver (Little Rock, AR) timed in third quick with a time of 17.310 to claim the $200 third place bonus.
In the 50-lap feature race on Saturday night, Findley piloted his #17F factory stock from a fifth place starting spot to take the checkered flag and claim the $5,000 first place prize money.
Hard Charger of the Arkansas Factory Stock Shootout was Robert Woodard of McCrory, Arkansas. Woodard started the race in the 22nd position to finish in second place behind Findley.
Drake Traylor (Bauxite, AR) finished in third place followed by Edwin Wells (Morrilton, AR) taking fourth place and T.J. Pulley (Vanndale,AR) finished in fifth position.
Rounding out the top ten were Kevin Atkinson (Vilonia, AR), Mason Nichols (Russellville, AR), Logan Johnson (Mabelvale, AR), Justin Kilcrease (Nashville, AR) and Cody Robinson of Mt. View, AR.
Support class winners on Friday night were Spencer Hartwick in the Imca Modified division, Peyton Taylor in Imca Stock Cars, Cody Maple in Hobby Stock and Young Gun winner was Riley Morrow.
Saturday night feature winners were Wendell Wallace in Imca Modified, Richie Tosh in Imca Stock Cars and Hunter Everett in Hobby Stocks.
The next race at Batesville Motor Speedway will be on September 16th with all classes racing. Gates will open at 5:00 and admission is $10 with kids 14 and under free.
The final night of point racing will be on September 23rd.
The 28th Annual Schoenfeld Headers Mid-America Imca Stock Car Championship ($10,000 to win/$800 to start) will be held on September 28-30, 2023.
And to finish out the season, the 7th Annual Race For Hope 71 for IMCA MODIFIEDS will be held on October 12-14, 2023.
