TEXAS DRIVER- JEFF ABBEY-WINS 30TH ANNUAL SCHOENFELD HEADERS CHAMPIONSHIP AT BATESVILLE MOTOR SPEEDWAY
Saturday, September 27, 2025 - Locust Grove, Arkansas
IMCA Stock Car Driver, Jeffrey Abbey, who hails from Rhome,Texas, took home the win and $8000 at the 30th Annual Schoenfeld Headers Mid-America IMCA Stock Car Championship on Saturday night at Batesville Motor Speedway.
Frist place prize money was $7500 and an additional $500 was awarded to Abbey for having a Schoenfeld Headers logo displayed on his #37 CRS Suspension IMCA Stock Car.
Hayden Linn of Little Rock, AR qualified for the pole of the 50-lap feature event by winning his heat race and the winners dash. Linn finished in the eighth positions after battling for the lead with outside pole sitter, Peyton Taylor. Taylor battled back and forth and after taking a good lead for most of the race, brought out the caution on Lap 46 with a flat tire. Taylor had to settle for 17th place.
Patrick Linn, a Little Rock, AR driver, who started the feature in the fifteenth position, advanced thirteen positions to finish up in second place. Linn took the runner-up position with a very exciting last-minute move on third place finisher, Dallon Murty from Chelsea, Iowa. Murray started in fifth position after winning his heat race.
And right in the mix of all of this side-by-side racing was Curtis Cook from Conway, AR. Cook started in the twelfth position and finished in fourth but was one of the top contenders to win up until the end.
Finishing in the fifth position after starting in p18 was Haydan Hartwick from Tumbling Shoals, AR
Neil Kemp aggressively claimed sixth place. Kemp was named as the Hefley Cancer Awareness Hard Charger after advancing fourteen positions.
TJ Herndon from Atwood, TN claimed seventh and was the only previous winner to finish in the Top Ten. Hayden Linn, Gavin Lowe and Randy Weaver rounded out the top ten.
The Longest Haul Bonus, provided by Kents Firestone/VP Fuels, went to Jeremey and Larry Bradley from Odessa, Texas.
It takes alot of help to bring the Schoenfeld Headers Mid-America IMCA Stock Car Championship event to Batesville Motor Speedway.
