What a great night of racing at Batesville Motor Speedway on Saturday night at the Arkansas IMCA Spring Nationals- Wimp Reed Memorial.

Wendall Wallace and Peyton Taylor were the headline winners in the main events of the IMCA Modifieds and the IMCA Stock Cars.
Wallace, piloting his #12 IMCA Modified, qualified by winning his heat race and started on front row outside. Pole-sitter Grayson Moore of Jonesboro, Arkansas, also won his heat race to take second in the IMCA main event. Third place went to the “Salado Flash” Richie Tosh. The “Floral Freight Train” aka Brandon Smith finished in the fourth position and Adam Maple from Jamestown rounded out the top five.
Peyton Taylor, driving the Cadillac Chassis #11 IMCA Stock Car, started the race in the third position after winning his heat race. Taylor crossed the finish line first to claim the IMCA Stock Car Championship of the “Wimp Reed” Memorial.
Coming in second place was Little Rock driver, Patrick Linn. Third place went to T.J. Herndon of Atwood, Tennessee. Finishing in fourth place was Neil Kemp from Mineral Springs, Arkansas and rounding out the top five was Dale Nelson from Milan Tennessee.
Arkansas Factory Stock winner was Chuck McGinty (Enola, AR). Second place was Mountain View, Arkansas driver, Trevor Ford. Jeremy Tharp (Bald Knob, AR) was third and was followed by Josh Jackson in fourth with Sawyer Thompson (Fordyce,AR) finishing in fifth.
Jason Wilkey #17 was the winner in Midwest Mod division with #5 Keaton Wheeler finishing in a close second behind Wilkey.
Cody Rogers from Arkadelphia, Arkansas came in third with Adam Poe (Beebe, AR) following in fourth. Joplin, Missouri driver, Garrett Thompson finished in the fifth place.
Cody Cornett took the checkered flag first to win the Hobby Stock division. Second place went to Denny Apple. Randall Parker finished in third with Hunter Everett in fourth and Jordan Bunch took fifth.
